Weekend Rundown 31/08/19

Last night Nickel exploded to its highest level in 4 years, up 8% at some stages on the back of Indonesia confirming an export ban to begin in December this year rather than in 2022. Indonesia is the biggest producer of Nickel world-wide, so many are afraid of a quick global shortage.

I have spent some time looking at producers worldwide with the lowest All-In Sustaining Cost (AISC).

Independence Group (IGO.ASX) AISC USD $ 1.36 LB / $2997 Tonne.

WESTERN AREAS LTD (WSA.ASX) AISC USD US $2.17 LB / $4782 Tonne.

PANORAMIC RESOURCES LTD (PAN.ASX) AISC USD US $ 2.4 LB / $5289 Tonne

Lundin Mining Corporation (LUN.TSX) USD $2.60/lb / $5730 tonne

In a previous article, I wrote why I like Nickel so much.

I leave everyone this weekend with an image that best describes why in the last 50 years now is the best time to invest in commodities. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
